I STARTED DIVISN IN 2017, BUT THE NAME WAS ORGINALLY "SAMPLE". I GOT THE NAME FROM SAMPLE SHOES-BUT THAT NAME WAS TAKEN >:((( SO I CHANGED THE NAME TO "sLANg" BUT IT HAD NO VALUABLE MEANING TO THE NAME OTHER THAN IT LOOKS TIGHT ON A TEE. I REALLY LOVED MATH IN HIGHSCHOOL SO I FIGURED DIVISION. THAT WAS TOO LONG AND DVSN WAS TAKKEN BY AN ARTIST AND EVENTUALLY I LANDED ON DIVISN.

MEMO: Studying architecture, I have made countless models. While finishing up my last ever undergrad project, I was taking pictures of the model—placing the scaled figures…I thought, I should’ve painted graphics on the shirts to give a little more detail. A friend said, “Oh! Painting a graphic from your brand would be cool! You can use that as an ad”. How about more than just an ad, maybe like ToyStory but architectural models wearing the clothes as in a runway! The figures are the models, and the building is the runway! N.E.R.D. has been my top artist for 3yrs so let’s have them perform on the side!

I recently graduated, and my graduation gift was a trip to Japan. Feeling very lucky, I took some videos (mostly photos) while I was there. I had no idea what to do with the videos because I had very little, and then one day it just came to me:“What if we edit the videos taken in Japan, chop them up, and Frankenstein them together with music that complements the scenes creating a psychedelic, mesmerizing reality to visually showcase DIVISN’s creativity and style?”I don’t want to spoil too much, but the whole purpose is to make you feel visually and emotionally immersed in the hidden DIVISNAL shapes within the world of DIVISN. So sit down, relax an adventure awaits!

BIO: Reina is a 23-year-old DJ and producer from New York, USA, born in Brooklyn. She is Japanese American—her mother is from Japan, and her father is from Harlem, New York. From an early age, Reina was immersed in music, as both of her parents constantly played it around the house—25/8. Her father especially introduced her to artists like The Neptunes, Nas, and Kanye West, among many others.Her passion deepened when her parents gifted her an iPod Classic, which she used to listen to music on her walks to and from school. She eventually earned a scholarship to a music school in New York but was later expelled due to lack of attendance. Despite this setback, she quickly became known for her unique production style. During one of her sets, someone gifted her DIVISN—where she became a Divisnalist.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Kage was raised in a small household by his single mother. A childhood friend introduced him to nu-metal and punk music, while his mother filled the house and car rides with rap and R&B. Growing up wasn’t easy for Kage—his short temper often led to fights, and he was frequently transferred between schools.It wasn’t until early high school that Kage began pursuing rapping and songwriting, which became the one thing that truly calmed him. At 17, he dropped out of high school to fully commit to music. After one of his concerts, a confrontation outside the venue escalated into a massive fight. In the chaos, Kage grabbed the back of the other guy’s shirt, ripped it off, and decked him in the face—then kept the shirt. It turned out to be a DIVISN tee, and from that moment on, Kage became a Divisnalist.

BIO: Arisawa is a 23-year-old architect and designer from San Diego, California. She was raised by her father, a realtor, who often brought her along to tour different types of houses. It was during those visits that her admiration for architecture first began. Her mother was a practicing designer and artist at home, and it didn’t take long for Ari to be inspired by her creativity as well.She went on to study architecture in college for five years. After graduating, she decided to pursue her own design practice, working across multiple disciplines. She was introduced to DIVISN while attending a concert for a rapper whose stage set she had designed. Seeing the rapper and his girlfriend dressed head-to-toe in DIVISN left a strong impression on her—soon after, she became a Divisnalist.

BIO: Raiden is a 24-year-old racing driver from Colorado, USA. He was originally born in Osaka, Japan, and moved to the United States with his parents when he was three years old. From a young age, Raiden was surrounded by cars—his father had been deeply passionate about them but was forced to sell them before relocating to the States. Instead, he bought Raiden an original Xbox with a few racing games, including Colin McRae Rally 04, which is where his passion for rally racing began.Growing up, Raiden became quieter and more reserved after being picked on at school for his clothes. It wasn’t until late high school that he was introduced to DIVISN, where he became a Divisnalist.
